Frequently Asked Questions

So… How does this whole thing work?

Let’s keep it simple. During our pre-session consult we’ll talk a little, see what you need out of your photo session, and see if we’re a good fit. I encourage you to Pinterest photos or styles that you’d be interested in to narrow down what we’ll do for the session. When we proceed, we’ll schedule a day and time for the actual session, iron out all the details, and go from there. My goal is for you to be 100% confident throughout the process, so if there’s anything you’re not feeling good about then speak up, and we’ll change it!

Do you deliver every image from a session?

Quite simply, no. I deliver professionally edited images of the highest quality, and each package includes a set number. If you would like more than the included images, feel free to ask about your options.

How long will it take to get my photos after the session?

You’ll have all of your selected digitals no later than 2 weeks after the session. Wall-art, and albums generally will arrive within 3-5 weeks after the session.

Do you do couples/engagement sessions?

Why yes, yes I do!

Do you offer portraits for someone who is single?

Absolutely…in fact, individual and senior portraits are my all-time favorites! My goal is to help empower you to be confident in yourself and who you are. I find it true that no matter how many times a person is told they look beautiful, handsome, or pretty…the best way for them to believe it, is to be shown.

But, I’m not a model, I’ve never been in front of a camera…

In working with several models over the years, I’ve found that even models have their insecurities, but not being a model actually makes you an even better client (no offense to all the models I’ve worked with). Don’t go YouTubing “best poses for portraits”… leave that to me. Everyone has many things that make them physically unique, and one “magical” pose doesn’t apply to everyone. Let me worry about directing you into a natural pose! But I can say, from reviews of previous clients, that you might just walk away from a session with me feeling like a model.

But, I’m not photogenic…

Not photogenic…Who lied to you? If I had a dollar for every person I’ve worked with who told me they “aren’t photogenic”…well you know the rest. The definition of “photogenic”?: “looking attractive in photographs”. Let me tell you…YOU are beautiful and attractive! Many people simply do not know how light and camera angles work to compliment, and show off, the natural beauty you already have. Leave that to me.

Do you travel?

Oh yes, I love traveling! I will fly anywhere (read that again) for your photo session. Do expect, however, for the cost of travel to be added on to our session.
